The Town has created Zoning Commission. The commission will be appointed to create a reasonable zoning guideline specific for the Town of Lorraine. Public comment is welcome and encouraged. If you are interested in being on the commission or would like to comment, please contact a Town Board member. Thank-you
The Town of Lorraine has participated in the creation of the Muti-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. The project, Lead by Jefferson County Emergency Management, has created a detailed plan to increase the disaster resistance of the County along with procedures for monitoring, evaluating, and updating the Plan to ensure it remains a "living document".
The Plan can be reviewed at the Town office. Please contact Supervisor Moore or HGWY Supt. Dealing if you would like to review & comment.
