Town of Lorraine

• The Town of Lorraine does not have a storage vault. Burials will generally be conducted between April and November of the year. This time frame is subject to changed based on weather conditions and frost.

• All burials with the exception of a cremation, require a concrete casket vault.

• The Town does not offer perpetual care. We will make every effort to mow the grass and trim around monuments.

• Small shrubs and plants may be planted near monuments. Care of the planting is the responsibility of the family.

• The Town Cemetery Coordinator is responsible to coordinate installation of corner markers, foundations, and plot opening/closing.

• Plot sales and associated records are the responsibility of the Cemetery Coordinator. The coordinator will maintain a burial log, plot sales log, complete/mail deeds, and maintain the maps of the cemetery. A copy of all deeds is maintained by the coordinator.

• All plot sales and corner markers should be made in the form of a check, money order, or bank check which the coordinator presents to the Supervisor during the next board meeting.
